modern styled wedding – fargo wedding invitations

Happy Superbowl Sunday!

I’m excited to share another styled shoot from “Get Hitched”.

A little background behind the images: The photos are a part of a large project I took part in this past summer. Hopefully some of you were able to attend the “Get Hitched” wedding event a couple of months ago at the Plains Art Museum here in Fargo. If not, you’re in luck!  I’m going to be posting photos from each styled shoot that was showcased at the event.

This year for “Get Hitched”, we decided to shake things up a bit and do something different than the traditional wedding show. Over the summer – wedding vendors in the Red River Valley combined our talents and services and created eight styled shoots at various wedding locations in the Fargo/Moorhead and surrounding area. Some of themes included: modern, art deco/Gatsby, outdoor garden chic, ombré, steam punk, nautical, winter, & countryside rustic. We created mock weddings at each site, complete with a bridal party, jewelry, flowers, table settings, wedding stationery and more! It was so amazing to see each shoot come together, and I was honored to be able to take part in each one.

Today I’m featuring the modern wedding that was set up at the Plains Art Museum, in downtown Fargo, ND. Whites and shades of green were the colors. The “look” was clean, simple and green! Check it out:

The paper I used was a stark white with a metallic finish that had a diamond pattern embossed into it. The backing was a soft shimmery silver card stock. The circle pattern is simple but adds a modern touch.

I love all of the green trick dianthus accents. They are the cute, puffy greenery poufs like on the plate above! 🙂 They are from the carnation family and look great with the look of this shoot. Shotwell Floral did a fabulous job with all of the floral arrangemnts.

I love the appletini bar with the moss monogram above and moss ball accents. Britta the Photographer did an amazing job capturing all of the details of this shoot!

The Bridal Shop provided the beautiful dress and tux.

Wimmer’s Diamonds provided the gorgeous wedding bands and engagement ring.

West 13th Salon did a fabulous job with the hair and makeup.

The paper I used for the menus and table numbers is a hand-made paper that incorporates real leaf impressions. It has a beautiful linen texture and works well with our white and green color palette.

The HoDo made amazing dishes to go with this modern themed shoot! The left features a “Jamon and Peaches” salad and the right is a “St. Peters Bleu and Black Sambuca Cake”.

The entrée: “Wild Acres Farm Duck, Pancetta and Carrot Risotto with Baby Carrots”.  Mostera leaves were used as the chargers. The linen is “Tuscany”  from the La Tavola collection, gorgeous!

Sadie’s Couture Floral and Event Styling provided the linens and the fun lampshade accents! Sadie also created the moss monogram that hung above the apple-tini table.
